Outtakes from an engagement shoot at Fenway.

Hey Tumblr! I know I haven’t posted in a really long time (I’m sorry to say senior year’s gotten the best of me). Luckily I’ve had a little bit of time over break to edit some work I’ve been meaning to get done for my portfolio. Last night I finished this engagement session I second-shot for my friend Jennifer at Fenway Park. I’m not a huge baseball fan, but I was really excited for this one because I’d never been to Fenway before and we had the entire park to ourselves for an hour.

After our hour was up we walked around Yawkey Way and the surrounding neighborhoods for more locations as the sun went down.

Bri & Billy were a great couple to work with and this was hands down one of the coolest engagement shoots I’ve ever done.

Especially if you like street photography and/or 35mm. He’s got some really great stuff.

We first showed up to the park around 5:00, but the light wasn’t quite right yet (and there were a lot of people around we were going to disturb with the drumming). We decided to get dinner in the meantime to wait for more people to clear out and for the light to change. Sadly, by the time we got back and had everything set up, the sun was just above the horizon. A very nice lady who had brought her kid to the park that day overheard me tell my friend Amy to bring her car up the path so we could light Adam with her high beams and offered to do the same with her mini van (her kid was a child model and she knew what it was like to be on a photo shoot when you start losing light). After a few minutes of directing the cars to point in the right direction, we finally got the light right.
